Tranquillity, comfort
and elegance are the keywords
describing the 11 recently refurbished bedrooms.
Each one is unique, decorated in a personal
style using Nineteenth-Century or early Twentieth-Century
furniture from the Lombardy region, and they
all offer independently-controlled air conditioning
and free broadband internet connection.
The period furniture and the warm, time-patinaed materials create pleasant, cosy
corners where every detail has been carefully
thought out, and nothing is left to chance.
Six rooms have terraces or balconies looking
straight out over the lake, clustered above
the miniature inner garden, where the cool shade
of the Phoenix palm and the abundance of flowers
in the summertime combine to offer an oasis
of peace and tranquillity, just a moment’s walk
from the lively port square.
The other five rooms, whilst they may not offer
balconies and lake views, are equally elegant
and carefully decorated, and overlook the picturesque,
narrow main street. Opposite your windows you
will see the façades of the surrounding houses,
bedecked with glorious bougainvilleas, the essential
backdrop to life in the ancient village of Villa
di Gargnano.
